Concern for the environment is a fundamental part of Industrial Galvanizers’ corporate business strategy and focus. The company is committed to understanding and minimising any adverse environmental impacts of its metal coating and metal forming operations and providing a safe work environment for employees, while continuing to meet the expectations of its customers for quality and service, and achieving the shareholder’s expectations of financial performance.

Objectives

Industrial Galvanizers undertakes to:

• Plan for, develop and operate all locations to achieve compliance with appropriate regulations and to act with due diligence for environmental protection and improvement.
• Implement, resource, review and continually improve its environmental management system with the objective of improving its overall environmental performance.
• Promote throughout the Company a strong environmental ethic as part of its culture.
• Identify and manage environmental risks within Industrial Galvanizers’ operations and apply best practice environmental management principles to reduce the risk of environmental impacts to air, water and land.
• Reduce the use of energy, water and other materials or substances and recycle or reuse resources where possible.
• Minimise the generation of waste.
• Provide all employees with access to environmental awareness training.
• Communicate this policy to all internal and interested external parties.
• Document, implement, maintain and review this environmental policy as part of the Environmental Management System.
