Ingal Stringers are a complete range of off-the-shelf stair stringers ready to cast into concrete and bolt on step treads.
Fully compliant with BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
Standard rises of 170mm and goings of 250mm, with a 34.2˚ angle.
They are sold in pairs ranging from 1 tread to 17 treads. Left and right handed individual stringers are also available by special request. |

Calculating the number of treads required
Refer to chart below.
Firstly, measure the distance from the ground to the floor level of the landing. Find the landing measurement in the chart (to the right), if the exact number is not displayed, round down to nearest tread.
Example: Landing measurement of 2,440mm, no exact measurement available, it falls between 2380 & 2550, therefore round down. A 13 Step Stringer is required.
The BCA states that there MUST be a consistent rise throughout the flight including the first and last step.
Therefore, the ground level may need to be built up accordingly.

Things to remember:-
1) Designed for maximum width of stairs at 1,000mm per pair with domestic pedestrian loadings.
2) Designed to suit 45mm treads in order to achieve maximum gap of 125mm between treads (BCA sphere test).
3) Top fixing minimum 2 M/16 4.6s bolts per stringer.
4) Manufactured from durable hot dip galvanized 100x50mm material.
(Thickness ranges from 3mm to 6mm depending on tread number).
